Austin Peterson is the founder and Managing Partner of Golden Spike Capital. Austin earned an MBA and Bachelor of Business, both with Highest Honors from the University of Kansas and he holds a Law degree from The University of Chicago Law School. Prior to founding Golden Spike Capital, Austin spent time as a consultant and corporate attorney.

Austin worked for the law firm Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago, focusing on private equity transactions. He has represented private equity firms and investment funds in connection with purchases and fund formation, with aggregate transaction values in excess of a billion dollars. He has also spent time as a consultant in varied engagements. Austin has experience managing and growing existing businesses, and has managed formation and fundraising for new ventures.
